Short Haul Betting

Every year I like to think I have a better knowledge of the football leagues than I actually do, and I have a dabble and try to pick some longer odds beds for the season.

You’ll seen from below that I have perhaps bought in to the Bookies thinking that Blackburn Rovers should be there or there about’s this season – I hope we’ve both got this right!

Here’s my selections for the season (only small stakes):

  • Aston Villa Promoted, Burton Albion Relegated, Blackburn Top 6, and Mansfield Top 7 – 18/1
  • Man City to win League, Brighton and Huddersfield Relegated, Newcastle Bottom Half, and Sunderland not Promoted – 16/1
  • Burnley Relegated, Derby Outside Top 6, Blackburn Top 6, Bristol City and Bury and Oldham Bottom Half – 22/1
  • Everton and Fulham Top 6, Huddersfield and Bolton Relegated, Wigan Promoted – 100/1
  • Man City to win League, West Ham Top Half, Brighton Relegated, Aston Villa to win League – 100/1
  • Aston Villa and Blackburn Promoted, Brighton and Bristol City Relegated – 175/1
  • Lukaku, Kodja and Grigg to score 20+ league goals, and Lacazette 15+ goals – 22/1
  • Man Utd and Man City to win first 3 games and Stoke to be in bottom 3 on 29/08/2017 – 22/1
  • Man City to win League, Aston Villa Promoted, Bolton and Oldham Relegated – 66/1
  • Fulham Promoted, Sunderland Bottom Half, Bristol City Relegated – 80/1
  • Man City, Middlesbrough, Luton all to win Division – 139/1
  • Watford, Bristol City and Crawley all Relegated – 91/1
  • Wycombe top 7, Bradford Top 6, Wolves Top 6 – 23/1
  • Huddersfield, Burnley and Swansea Relegated – 25/1
  • Swansea, Watford and Brighton Relegated – 66/1
  • Millwall to finish Bottom – 8/1
  • Rudi Gestede Top Scorer – 25/1
  • Wycombe promoted – 6/1
  • Jabo Ibehre Top Scorer – 33/1

And one last one just to indulge the supporter me :

  • Blackburn Rovers to win League 1 and the Green Bay Packers to win the Superbowl – 25/1
